No electric power supplies required
Pneumatic motor can be powered by standard air compressors;
it can operate in areas where no electrical power is available.
Special version suitable for jobs in explosion-risk areas:
On demand the ITH PDS can be covered with a coating on the gearbox
and reaction arm - ideal for applications in the oil and gas industry.
The required torque
is set via the compressed air precision control valve at idling according to the tabular data.
The change gear (high and low gear) enables a higher range of rotational speed (optional)
and faster work.
Independent rotation between handle and gearbox
ensures steady and optimal positioning of the ITH PDS. Various accessories
like extensions, sockets, and special reaction arms are available.

Safety turning knuckle
The lockable safety turning knuckle enables the gearbox unit to be positioned independently from the drive which means the ADS can be positioned quickly and easily. During the bolting process the user’s wrist gets protected from the occurring reaction forces, which promote an ergonomic design.
 Automatic Shut-off and automatic free-run
After reaching the target torque value the ITH battery nut runner type ADS turns off automatically. When target torque is reached the tool runs back a little which avoids that socket or support may get stuck on the bolt connection.
High reproducability and precision of ± 4%
Flexible and easy to use
The ADS is ideal to use for service jobs on bolted joints where space is limited or where power supplies are not easy accessible, for example offshore applications on windturbines or others.

Comprehensive control electronic:
The EDS maintains continuous control of the tightening process and automatically adjusts the rotational speed according to the application.
Automatic free-run:
Once the previously set torque value has been reached the EDS automatically initiates “free-run”, relieving torsional binding at the reaction point for easy and safe removal of the tool after each bolting process.
Suitable for on-site construction:
The powerful motor is made to withstand the drastic voltage fluctuations common with using on-site generator power supplies.
Optimal for international machine outfits:
Automatic detection and adjustment to 50 Hz or 60 Hz power supplies.
2 gear stages:
For changing between low and high gear.
Precision:
High degree of reproducibility of thetorque values up to ± 3 %.

Ideal for on-site use: Fast handling with light weight and small dimensions for working pressures up to 3000 bar.
No electric power supply required: Any major air pressure system can be used.
 


Pressure build up: Various designs


Hydraulic pressure adjusting valve: This provides for smooth adjustment of the max hydraulic pressure and enables a faster pressure build up since it doesn't limit the air flow into the booster.
Without pressure adjusting valve: The hydraulic pressure output is controlled directly at the service unit (inlet pressure, primary side of the pressure cycle).
 


With pneumatic remote control: ITH Aero-MAX 179


Comfortable control of the hydraulic output pressure with a pneumatic remote
5-m hose for flexible and fast working. Pure pneumatic, no electric power supply required
